Welcome to my website. I’m excited to finally be able to share my music with all of you under one platform. I’ve been very fortunate over the years to have been around so many great, creative musicians, many of whom I can call friends. It makes my musical mission very personal.

I hope you take some time to explore the site and connect with the recorded music I have made over the years. A special thanks to Rob Schneiderman, Brian Lynch, Steve Feierabend, Bim Strasberg, Peter Sprague, Ron Steen, Phil Hatton, Josh Lazerson, Dan Presley and many others who inspired and believed in me and who have supported me with kindness throughout my career. Picante Latin Jazz

Picante was Founded in 2012 by trumpeter and current band leader Bryant Allard. This 7 piece ensemble includes some of the finest musicians in the Portland area performing both traditional afro cuban music and a fusion of latin jazz. Their repertoire includes the music of Pancho Sanchez, Tito Puente, Chucho Valdez, Carlos Federico, Dextor Gordon, Herbie Hancock, Wes Montgomery, as well as original music composed and arranged by Bryant Allard and Catarina New Martin. Audiences love Picante for its diversity of music and fiery latin rhythms.

Antidotes Jazz Sextet

One of Bryant’s many different configurations of musicians is his newly formed sextet “Antidotes” featuring, Clay Giberson on piano, Dan Presley on bass, drummer Tim Rap, saxophonist Catarina New, and Brad McMillan on trombone. During the pandemic Bryant was inspired by following many of Chick Corea’s daily sessions online at his home which, in turn, inspired Bryant to write many new compositions which debuted on Sunday, April 24th at the 1905. The music of this sextet is dedicated to the late, great, Chick Corea.

Powerhouse Jazz Quintet

The Powerhouse Jazz Quintet came to be in August of 2000. It’s an amazing story that we share on the link below. In short, three of the founding members were actually friends back in middle school, growing up in a beach front town in southern California, Del Mar. 55 years later, we are still best friends and perform together recording our 2nd CD “Shared Stories” in August of 2023 at Peter Sprague’s recording studio in Leucadia California twenty years after recording our first CD “Reunion”. Both CD’s are up on many streaming services and was also video recorded and can be watched on our Youtube channel. I’ve posted on my site two of the Youtube videos below, Be Yourself and Antidotes, both compositions of mine.
